So you've arrived here from spam I've sent you, or you saw something curious or just stumbled to this forum and have no idea what this is?
My name is Jeremy and this is a project I started to create a text-based game commonly known as a MUD - an old-school Multi User Dungeon that were very popular before the onset of graphic-based MMOs like World of Warcraft.
There are still lots of MUDs around the Internet to play and many are based off of only a small handful of game-engines(or "codebase").
I found a codebase that I really liie called "Dawn1.69r" and have a fresh install on a home PC.
The codebase comes with a fully-functioning MUD world already set-up, so I will be slowly changing and tweaking mechanics, building new areas and slowly turning it into "my" game(or MUD).
So, in it's current state it is a complete and playable game. You need a client that you can get for free, my games address and port number, which you'll find in another thread below this one.
If you have further questions, you can ask in the general questions category of this forum.
Thanks, I hope you decide to give this a try and maybe even volunteer to alpha test and troubleshoot code.
